Advice for Dental Emergencies

Try not to worry. You can give our office a call, and we will guide you in the right direction.

Keep swelling down with an ice pack or cold compress placed on the outside of the mouth. You can take an over-the-counter anti-inflammatory pain reliever to remain comfortable if necessary.

If you are experiencing bleeding that won’t stop, visit your local emergency room. If you have an object stuck between your teeth, try to remove it gently with dental floss. Do not use sharp tools to try to remove the object. Give us a call instead.

If a tooth is knocked out or broken, save what you can. Replace the tooth back into its socket if possible. Place pieces in a plastic bag of saline or milk if the tooth cannot be placed..
